The lineup

Pressure-treated to Trex.

Six ways we build them. All on the same bones: proper footings, flashed ledgers, ground-contact posts.

Pressure-treated decks

The standard for a reason. Ground-contact posts, proper footings, joists that stay dry.

PT pineStain-ready

Composite & Trex

No staining, no splinters, no gray-out. Composite boards over a pressure-treated frame.

TrexLow upkeep

Elevated cable-rail walkway bridge spanning a wooded gully

Cable rail

Steel cable instead of pickets. The view stays the view.

Repairs & rebuilds

Boards to whole structures. If the frame is shot, we tell you, then we rebuild it.

Reviews

What our customers say.

Finished composite deck with a natural wood rail and a lake viewCompleted

These guys were very knowledgeable and professional. They did an amazing job at redoing my large raised back deck. When I called for a quote they came out immediately and started the project very soon after. I couldn’t have asked for a better company.

Chelsea B.Raised back deck rebuild

They fixed my upper deck after we stepped through some of the boards! They had me a new one built in less than a week. Very quick and easy with the whole process. Did not add on unnecessary projects, did make suggestions for future projects. The deck looks amazing!!!

Emily S.Deck repair after a board failure

Overall a great experience. The guys extended my deck to exactly how I described it and even put more into it to make it outstanding.

R. G.Deck extension

I absolutely love my new deck, I had an idea and they put it into action! They worked in poor weather conditions just to get it done in a timely manner. Great communication on what I wanted and how it would be done. Highly recommend them!

Local rules

Permits and setbacks, town by town.

Villa Rica

Inside the city limits, the zoning code lets a deck attached to the house reach no more than ten feet into the minimum front or rear yard. The building department issues the permit. Homeowners can pull one on their own primary residence if they act as the general contractor, and in every other case permits go only to Georgia-licensed contractors. See our Villa Rica deck builder page.

Carrollton and unincorporated Carroll County

Carroll County's Community Development office requires a permit for a deck, and the county's accessory building packet names decks and porches outright. Carrollton runs its own building and codes office through City Hall, and its setbacks change with the zoning district, so the lot gets checked before a deck is drawn. More on decks in Carrollton. The county-by-county permit rules are collected for Haralson County (Bremen, Tallapoosa, and Buchanan) and Heard County, and the Carroll County deck permit guide walks through the steps. Stairs, guardrails, and footings have their own rules, covered in deck railing, stair, and footing code in Georgia.

Screened porches and roofs

Want to keep the bugs out or get shade over the boards? See screened porches and roofed decks. Picking boards first? Our guide to composite or pressure-treated decking covers the tradeoffs. Planning a hot tub? Read how to build a deck for a hot tub before the footings are laid out.

Finishing it

Already have a deck that is rotting or sagging? See deck repair for how we decide between a repair and a rebuild, and our guide on whether to repair or replace a deck for the signs to look for. Wood decks need a stain or sealer to hold up outdoors. We build the deck and can come back for deck staining too. If the yard also needs a fence or a retaining wall, the same crew builds fencing and retaining walls.
